Those of you who were fans of the animated series could end up just as disappointed as I was by Michael Bay’s live-action version of Transformers. It wasn’t necessarily a bad film but it certainly wasn’t as great as all the hype made it out to be. Of course Hollywood has to downgrade an epic story like this, just like they did with X-Men. he movie did not water-down the series so much, but like every movie that has such a large fan base, it’s hard to tell what could have, would have, and should have happened.

Fresh on the heels of my recent blog post about R.Kelly and Usher’s “Same Girl”, I was looking at the iTunes Top 100 today and was so horrified that I almost couldn’t believe my eyes. Right now, the list consists of so many horrible songs that it actually made me start to question the society we live in. Is it possible that idiots have inherited the earth and real music is dead?

Years ago, CBS debuted a new reality series called Big Brother. Back then, the cast was older, the show was more interactive, high-speed internet access was rare, and the live-feeds were tiny, grainy images of a chicken coop for most of the day. Since then, the show has evolved into my favorite summer guilty pleasure with eye-candy abound. Though there have been new twists in the game (the Power of Veto), new architecture in the house (the addition of a second story and HoH suite) and new houseguests to compete (hotties like Kaysar from BB6 and BB7), the show remains the most real of reality tv.
