(Heroes and Villains, My Thoughts, Updates)
I’m happy that Dick did the right thing and nominated Mike to replace Jen after she used the veto to save herself. Mike is a key element of that trio (Mike/Jen/Kail) and removing him should be enough to eliminate them. Jen will float to another alliance and Kail will be gone within the next few weeks because no one wants to associate with her at all.
It seems like a lot of stuff went down while I was away from BB for my birthday. My favorite trio (Dick/Dani/Nick) seemed to fall apart a bit. Apparently everyone was fighting. Dick and Nick had a big blowout, Dani and Dick had a big conversation and she had a breakdown, and even Dani and Nick seemed to be pissed at each other. What has been going on around that house?
This reminds me so much of BB6 and BB7. In both those seasons, there was a solid dream team in the house that crumbled way too soon. Kaysar’s team (Kaysar/Janelle/Howie/James) was a perfect unit, a BB machine. It was like they were designed to play this game. Still, every year they all started to grow suspicious of each other and question each other constantly and it lead to a total break down of their alliance before we even hit sequester. If the strong team destroys itself, the whole game is left to the scavengers who thrive in that environment. Seeing Mike go up was such a relief for me. It meant that the good team would stick around, at least for another week.
I just didn’t want Kail and Jen to get in their heads and convince them to put up Zach instead of Mike. Eliminating Zach does nothing to push them forward in the game. Zach believes he’s with them, part of the cool team, and that’s exactly where they need to keep him to ensure that he’s not a threat to them. If Zach feels that he’s part of the team, then their enemies will become his enemies. If he wins HOH, he’ll go after Kail and what’s left of her alliance…. that is…. as long as he thinks that’s the best move for him and his group.
The only other concern I have is the Float Herd. In BB6, the strong team imploded on itself and the house was left to the Nerd Herd. Two of the worst people in BB history made it to the finals, while the good players sat in sequester. As much as I like Eric, Jameka, and Jessica, I think they’re flying under the radar and if they combine with Amber and Dustin, they could form the largest alliance in the house.
Right now, the strong players have to walk the line between getting out other threats and keeping the floaters in check. Otherwise, the BB meek will inherit the house.
We’ll see how it plays out.

Joe was evicted last night. I was glad it wasn’t Dick, but I was kind of sad to see him go. Joe’s been pretty entertaining in the house. His scheming was sure to stir things up and his comments were amusing. I also loved his fight with Dustin on the hammock or all the times he flirted with Nick. Oh well, the game must go on. Special thanks to Slykittee from BB Chatter for capturing this “tender” moment.

For quite some time now, CBS has posted an official HoH Blog, written by the reigning HoH and published on eviction night. Usually, the blogs are about the game strategy that week, food competitions, playing for veto, and other BB-related personal memories. At the end, the HoH will sometimes give a shout out to some of their friends or family and thank everyone for watching.
Jen’s HoH blog, on the other hand, is more like those incoherent letters from Lindsay Lohan that appear in tabloids and on gossip sites.
She begins like this…
Hello…For starts this is so much fun to even be able to type…like you don’t even know. K so anyways. This week has been crazy, I am not sure if you have noticed but there has been a lot of yelling, talking, and just pure madness going on. I have for sure had the best week of all I have been able to wear a unitard all week without anyone judging me for it as well as having a blast figuring out how to make it next. My housemates have claimed that there will be a unitard fashion line created on my behalf, which is simply histarical if true. While I am writing this blog I am not sure as to what to say and I am not going to be proofing it or anything just so you all know.
I think it’s so funny that she needed to warn us about not proofing her blog, or that she needed to actually type out “like” and “K so anyways.”
She goes on to talk a little about the game, and then moves on to address her loved ones at home. This is where the blog gets hilarious.
I would also like to say happy birthday to my dad, who’s birthday is tomorrow…June 20…As well as I am so sorry that I was able to call you Mom on your birthday or to even tell you I was gone…:( Good thing I sent your present early :-). I would also like to thank you Kara for taking care of my life while I am gone.
:-) I would also like to thank you Jamie for getting my mail…hopefully…I know I kind of just mailed you my key and didn’t even ask. Also just so you know George I put automatic payments for all of the stable bills for the next three months and I then typed it up and put it by the printer…i hope that you have already found that so we are not double paying any bills. Also I miss all of you, I really do, I am having a lot of fun, but I still can’t wait to see you. Gigi, Nikko, Kyle, Andrew we will have to make a special trip when I get back and have a slumber party or something :-)….Don’t think I forgot about you Ronnie, you have to come out and visit so you can hang out with me and everyone else. Also If anyone could please just drive my car around the neighborhood for 5 minutes that would be great, the keys are in my car.
First, apparently she thinks it’s June. Then, when she’s talking about her friend who she asked to check her mail, she basically admits that she didn’t really prearrange anything and just mailed her key assuming it would be done. Next she writes out all the details of her various bill-paying arrangements and, like a kid with ADD, moves on to start talking about her friends.
The real kicker is when she asks “anyone” to drive her car around and basically lets millions of people on the internet know that her keys are right in the car. You know, just in case someone wants to steal it while she’s locked in the BB house.
She writes a small section addressing Carol and then talks about the other people in the house…
Joe if you go home this week and read the message boards, which I am sure you will, I have been figuring out ever angle for you to stay and it just isn’t good enough, Evel if you are reading this…phew..thank everyone you are not here, and stop talking about everyone you “know” and stop “name dropping” its seriously out of control, I am sure the the show has a montage count of how many names you have dropped by now…hahaha. Anyhow. Just to let everyone know this is so so much fun and even just being here has been a blast and I truly don’t care if I win in the end and It think that me getting 2nd is better then me getting 1st
After reading her little comments about Dick, it makes his HoH victory tonight even sweeter!
Lastly, she shouts out her website and myspace page, asking everyone to go add her as a friend.
also if you want to be my myspace friend you can find the link from my website www.JenJohnsonModel.com..its linked to the bottom of the first page…and I have my best friend Kara running it for me
thanks again!
She includes a few more sentences about how she loves typing, even though she has nothing to write about, and makes a remark about her “sexy unitard”.
I half expected her to sign it “Be Adequite” like Lindsay Lohan and then go take some pictures holding a knife to her friend’s throat or flashing her vagina while getting out of a car.
It’s frightening that Jen is in charge of someone’s children.

(Eye Candy, Heroes and Villains, My Thoughts, Romance and Relationships, Screen Captures)
Last night I realized that I totally have a crush on Nick. Like Hardy and Kaysar before him, he is this year’s uber hottie. Here are a few reasons why I’m hoping Nick wins, or at least makes it to sequester.
Reason 1: He’s got a killer body.
As we all saw during his intro video, Nick’s happy to give America two tickets to the gun show. While he was once listed as a pro football player and now merely as “former football player”, we can tell just by looking at him that he is clearly a dude who has spent some time in a weight room. His hot bod totally reminds me of Hardy from BB2, who just so happened to be one of my favorite players from that season. Maybe it’s the Hardy association that makes me like Nick, but whatever the cause, I’m definitely a fan of Nick’s killer bod.
Reason 2: He’s funny.
Nick’s got a dry sense of humor that makes it hard to tell if he’s joking or being totally serious. He makes wise cracks with a completely straight face and people like Jen can find that difficult to interpret. I remember thinking he was really funny during a conversation he had with Danielle in the hammock during the first week. Zach was there and saying he thought Danielle was the best looking girl in the house, while Nick joked about her being fat and flirtatiously teased her. He’s made a bunch of really funny statements since then, but those crucial early moments made me take notice of his sense of humor.
Reason 3: Everybody loves Nick.
Since the first week in, it seems like practically everyone in the house has developed a crush on him. He flirted with Danielle, but Joe also had a crush on him right away. The fact that almost all the girls in the house think he’s a babe, and a lot of the guys do too is further proof that Nick’s got the goods. Amber has claimed to have a brother-sister relationship with him, despite her flirtatious body language and Jen wants him so bad she started making up lies about him kissing her. He doesn’t just drive the girls and the gay boys crazy, even supposedly straight boys like Eric seem to have a strong attraction to him.
Reason 4: He really cares about Danielle.
Not only does Nick have a crush on this year’s buxom blonde bombshell, but he seems to really like her as a friend too. Nick’s been adamant about trying to mend her relationship with Dick and he’s very attentive to her when she seems to be feeling down. Last night, she was hanging out in the storage room feeling bummed out when he came in to cheer her up. It’s so sweet. Their relationship isn’t like a lot of other BB shomances because it seems like there’s real emotion at the heart of it. He’s even openly professed his love for her a few times.
Reason 5: He has that cool tattoo.
I’m not quite sure what it says, but I like it. I’m just happy he doesn’t have the typical fratboy, wanna be gangsta tattoo of some phrase in Olde English writing. His tattoo seems pretty detailed and it looks like real body art as opposed to just some cursive letters on his arm. In the long history of really cut guys with tattoos in Big Brother, I would have to say his is the best. A lot can be said for a cool tattoo.
Reason 6: He looks good in anything.
Lately it seems like every time I see Nick, he’s rocking some different look. Almost every season, the hot dudes in the house get bored and start messing around with their look in search of something fun to do. Usually, the results are disastrous. In Nick’s case, it seems like everything he puts on looks great on him. That’s the mark of a true hottie. The other day he had a fedora on, which normally annoys me, but it looked super good on him. Also, I saw him with his hair slicked back and some aviator shades on. While it reminded me a little bit of the Kevin-Federline-types, it was still really cute.
Reason 7: Did I mention he’s hot?!
Seriously, Nick’s got to be the best looking guy in the house this season. I dig his personality, he’s cut, he’s got a really cute smile and the soul patch compliments his lips. I can already tell he’s going to be the Kaysar of this season, at least for me. I just hope his sticks around a little longer than Kaysar did.
Go Nick!

(My Thoughts)
After watching BBAD tonight, I think we might be dealing with the stupidest group of house guests in BB history.
Carol was heard saying, “What’s the Diary Room?” a few days ago. Tonight I heard Jameka talking about who would vote for her in the sequester house. I wanted to jump into the tv and yell, “There hasn’t even been one eviction yet! You can’t make all your moves for the jury in sequester when you might not even make it that far! Instead of worrying what will happen in September, why don’t you try playing the game now!”
As much as those two comments were utterly idiotic, it’s Amber who throws the stupidity curve with her black-hole of a brain. Knowledge goes in, only to never be heard from again.
Just a few moments ago, I turned on BBAD to hear a conversation between Amber, Dustin and Dick. They were talking about how they want to get Jen out next week (and who can blame them, she’s horrible) when Dustin asked Dick, “If you get HOH would you backdoor Jen or would you just put her up?” Amber stopped the conversation completely and asked, “Danielle already tried to explain it to me, but what does backdoor mean?”
Has she ever seen the show? It’s not really that complicated! Seriously, sometimes I’m amazed that this girl can even feed herself! How sad it is that she’s someone’s mother.
Poor Dick and Dustin tried to explain to her what the term means. They tried to use examples, explaining how to play the Veto to put someone up when they can’t save themselves. Still, she looked on with that vacant stare and the entire conversation went completely over her head.
I understand that it’s hard for any cast to compare to the skill and calculation of last year’s all-stars, but this is just insane. It’s like someone got the casting for this show and The Real World mixed up and all those twenty-something morons ended up in the Big Brother house.
I want Amber and Jen gone in the next two weeks because I just can’t keep watching them say one stupid thing after another anymore. It’s not even fun to watch the feeds or BBAD when all you see is noobs that don’t even understand basic rules and concepts of the game they’re playing!
I’m going to go watch some Big Brother 7 All-Stars clips on YouTube to clear my head.

(My Thoughts, Updates)
Tonight’s episode would have brought a lot of information to light if I hadn’t already known about it from watching the feeds and BB After Dark.
We learned that Dick’s a name-dropper and that he has never been close with Danielle. I’m still curious to explore Danielle’s past because she stated that her only real parents were her grandparents and Dick has previously mentioned foster care in a conversation about her that was cut-off during BBAD. I think some very dramatic and hurtful stuff went on between then, but I don’t know when, if ever, they’ll want to delve into it on the air.
We also got to see the food competition, which was pretty bland at this point it the game. I don’t have strong feelings for any of the HGs, so it doesn’t really matter to me if they’re on slop or not. The only major highlight of the food competition was Eric (who loudly declares his heterosexuality at every turn) rubbing up Joe with a gleeful eagerness that few straight men would have.
Also, Jen made some harsh comments about Dick when he offered to scrape the fake butter concoction off her body. She said in the diary room that Dick was a creepy old man and she didn’t want him feeling her up. He seemed exceptionally pissed off about this, and I think it was because it’s pretty true. Dick is the old guy of the house and he is vain and wants to seem younger. It kills him for everyone knows he is old enough to have a daughter in her twenties and it kills him to be thought of as the horny old man.
Aside from the food comp, the only really exciting part of the episode was when Jen had a total meltdown when she saw her picture on the wall. Everyone walked over to check out their pictures on the wall, remarking how they looked or how they had styled their hair. Jen saw her picture, covered it with her hand, and started bawling that she looked ugly and the lighting gave her bags under her eyes that she swears she didn’t have.
Not since Brooke from The Real World flipped out over an invitation to go bowling have I seen a more unwarranted freak out.
Hopefully, someone will post it on YouTube and I’ll be able to put it up on the blog.
The only other segment of note was the first mission assigned to America’s Player, Eric. While most of America hates Eric, he’s the only player in the game we can send on missions, so we have to live with it. I was expecting the option of choosing from various missions for him, or secret assignments. Instead, the AP section said “Eric must make up a dramatic story about his past, who should he tell this story to?” Our only choices are who he gets to make up a lie to? We can only choose who he’ll do something to, not what he’ll do? Lame!
America’s Player seemed like such a cool idea, but it seems like the show really dropped the ball there. I would have changed my tune about Eric if he at least mattered enough to be an instrument of the viewers. Instead, it’s just another dumb twist invented by CBS to try to make viewers think they’re somehow involved in the game and not just reality tv spectators like they are on every other show. If Eric’s only tasks are stupid like this, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he goes next week and we can put this whole stupid America’s Player thing to bed.
As I said, the episode was wholly boring because all this action happened days ago. We’ve known about the nominations, the food competition, the PoV and all the scheming for a long time through the feeds and BBAD. I can’t wait until next week when we’re all caught up and things are happening in real time.

(Heroes and Villains, My Thoughts)
It looks like Dick is becoming a bit of a stand-out on the show this year. A lot of people in the various chat forums seem to think he’s cool, a rebel, a loner who plays by his own rules.
I disagree.
I think he seems like an arrogant, self-centered, Tommy Lee wannabe. To me, Dick thinks he’s Dr. Will. He isn’t. He lacks the charm and intelligence of Dr. Will and he’s nowhere near as good looking. Dick thinks he is a calculating player, and maybe he is, but his skills are nowhere near the level of Dr. Will.
I will admit that Dick started playing the game from the gate and that he’s been trying to manipulate the various parties and create suspicion for everyone, but that doesn’t make you Dr. Will.
Dr. Will was never very obvious in his strategy. He was rarely off in a corner whispering to everyone or sneaking around. He was very upfront with his entire game. He told everyone he would lie to them and deceive them, and in the end those skills were what got him the money. Dr. Will used his sense of humor and his overall charisma to win over everyone in the house, making them think they were in a special top secret alliance. All the while, he was really only in an alliance with Boogie. Still, he made everyone feel like they were part of the cool kids club and was able to control almost every move in the game.
Dick is more like James, in my opinion. James was much sneakier than Will and played with an intensity that the Evil Doctor never felt was necessary. James acted like the game was life and death. Will acted like the game was a fun test of his powers of persuasion. James was constantly sneaking off with one or two players and whispering lies in their ears or trying to make them hate the other players. He fractured the house into groups and then hoped those groups would never find out he was the one that double crossed them all. I think Dick is headed down this very same road. He too plays the game too hard too soon.
Last night, Dick sat around taking to small groups of people and stirring things up in the house. He’s trying to create the kind of instability that allows weasels like him to thrive. This kind of game play can take you very far in the game, but rarely can it help you win in the final two. The Dr. Will strategy can’t really work twice. It didn’t even work for Will the second time around.
I think it’s more likely that Dick will land in James’ position. He might make it to sequester, but sooner or later people are going to catch on to what he’s doing.
Aside from his strategy, I think he seems like a pretty lame person. He said some really harsh and vulgar stuff about his daughter, Danielle, last night as he was ranting to this followers on the hammock. I think that’s just so wrong. If you’re a parent, you’re supposed to love your kids no matter what. You’re not supposed to treat them like crap or double cross them on a reality show!
While no one seems quite sure what exactly went down between Dick and Danielle, I think Dick’s entire attitude towards her is really horrible. I could never root for a player who seems like such an awful human being.
If Dick gets really far in this game, it’s just one more instance of people with no hearts advancing on BB. It seems like the only year when the winner was someone who actually had positive qualities was when Lisa won BB3.
Every season since that has had the worst people in the final two. Jun and Alison were horrible scheming bitches who truly wanted to hurt the other people in the house in BB4. Drew used his own showmance girlfriend to get him far in the game and then totally kicked her to the curb in the end on BB5. Hideous Maggie and her loud-mouth, annoying, idiot sidekick Ivette advanced to the finals in BB6 by floating along with no real strategy and hoping the stronger players like Janelle, Kaysar, and James imploded on themselves. And, let’s not forget last year when Mike Boogie rode Will’s coattails the entire game and then made it to the end with his showmance Skeletor–I mean Erica.
Is this show just a microcosm of society? Do assholes really get all the glory? Are we really living in a society where the person who proves they have no actual human emotions or any sense of right and wrong is the person who is on the path to success?

(My Thoughts)
I’ve always loved the live feeds, they’re the best way to see what’s really going on in the house. You can catch up on all the plotting, flirting, and weird conversation and it’s the best way to see what the HGs are really like.
CBS totally raised the bar by introducing Big Brother After Dark on Showtime Too this year!
Anyone who gets Showtime can now watch the feeds live on their TV. The quality blows the little Real Player feed out of the water, The crisp shots are like watching the tv show without the diary room… or the censorship.
So far, Nick has already revealed that he once gave a guy a blow job (CLIP HERE), Dick has plotted against his own daughter and said some really vulgar stuff about her, Mike and Zach are boring and have become completely unnoticeable in the house, and most everyone else has been plotting and forming alliances.
The best part of this is that, if you have a Tivo or DVR, you can pause the feed and resume it later without missing a thing. The Real Player is streaming, so you can’t rewind if you missed anything or pause to do something else while it’s on. With this, even the live feed can adhere to your schedule.
Even if you’re not an avid BB fan, you should definitely check out. It’s on every night on Showtime for 3 hours and it will give you insight into what’s going on between episodes.

(My Thoughts, Updates)
Episode one kicked off a summer of scandal, secret twists, and possibly sizzling moments. At least that’s what we hope for the new season.
A very skinny and unusually tan Julie Chen opened the show tonight, introducing America to the house guests.
The introductions were really corny, as usual. The whole thing always plays out like the beginning of MTV’s Next, that horrible teen dating show. It’s always stupid shots of them acting surprised to get their keys even though there wouldn’t be a camera crew there taping them if they weren’t going to get a key. Then they show a shot of them boxing or something and saying something like “My name’s ___ and I’m going to knock out the competition.” It’s cheesier than a four cheese pizza!
Finally, they got inside the house and got to meet each other. They seemed like a jovial group though you could see where friction might arise. Kail, a mother who confessed that she “practically runs her entire town” is very religious and hates gay people. Joe is a talkative and funny gay guy. Jameka, a school counselor from Mayrland said she’s never been around large groups of white people and she’s the only black person in the house. BB might be stacking the deck, but the scandals usually come from plotting in the house, not casting.
Next, the Chenbot introduced one of the twists of the game. Three players, Jessica (who pronounces her name “Jess-ka”), Dustin, and Dick (who calls himself Evil Dick), were kept in seclusion in a room upstairs. They were watching the HGs on a feed from inside a secret room. Chen announced that they were somehow connected to players in the game. Jessica was a high school enemy of Carol, Dustin was Joe’s ex-boyfriend, and Dick was Danielle’s estranged father.
Ex-boyfriends, old teenage rivals, and even people with opposing religious beliefs are one thing, but a fragile family situation is another. When the secret three were told to go join the rest of the group, Danielle looked really uncomfortable when Dick came down the stairs. As someone who had a very messed up relationship with her father for several years, I think it’s really, really wrong of CBS to put the two together in the house. I know the hope is that being trapped in a house together for three months will improve their relationship, but family pain can go a lot deeper than a TV show and really shouldn’t be exploited for entertainment.
Joe seemed quite uncomfortable with Dustin’s arrival also. He had reason to feel that way considering that Joe had just declared that Dustin gave him gonorrhea live on CBS. Their relationship is sure to be interesting because they both seem pretty similar. They both had some really funny comments and both seem pretty outgoing. They hate each other so much that I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up becoming really close again before the show is over.
Those two scandals made Jessica’s quite forgettable. Apparently, she and Carol were friends at one time in high school, but had gotten into a major fight in part because Carol owed Jessica $5. Compared to a girl with daddy issues and a case of gonorrhea, Jessica and Carol are lightweights.
The other twist in the game this year is “America’s Player”, a house guest who must obey the viewers’ orders. Eric was chosen (by the network I assume) to be America’s Player. Just how much he must adhere to our demands is still uncertain as is the penalty for disobeying.
These first episodes are usually pretty dull. I can never remember all the HGs names, I’m still cloudy on alliances and no one hates or loves anyone else to the point where there will be malicious back-stabbing or hook ups. Still, by midway into the season, we’ll no doubt be looking back on these early episodes and saying, “Remember when…”

Though there may be one or two hot guys this season on BB, the ultimate BB eye candy has got to be Kaysar Ridha from BB6 and BB7. Not only was he smart, caring, and an all around good guy, he was drop dead gorgeous too! His good looks and charm lead Dr. Will to declare him “the Brad Pitt of Muslims” early on in the all-star season.
Both Dr. Will and Hardy from BB2 may have been sexy, but Kaysar was definitely the best looking guy in BB history.
Since I’m reminiscing about previous houseguests, here’s a picture of Kaysar in all his hot glory.

From Morty’s TV:
Big Brother After Dark launching on Showtime
Come July 5, rabid fans of CBS’s Big Brother will have a new way to spy on the show’s sequestered houseguests: the eye will start airing live feeds from the house on one of its sister Showtime channels. Dubbed Big Brother After Dark, the live action in the house will air every night from 12 p.m. to 3 a.m. on SHOTOO, a Showtime channel that airs mostly theatricals and adult flicks and is available in over 14 million homes.
This is awesome news because all the action in the BB house seems to take place between midnight and sunrise and any feeds we can see around that time are way better. Even though the actual events will be occurring between 9PM and midnight BB time, I’m still always happy when there are new, higher-quality ways to watch the live feeds. This is a great new direction for the show.

(Eye Candy, Heroes and Villains, My Thoughts, Screen Captures, Updates, Video Clips)
Years ago, CBS debuted a new reality series called Big Brother. Back then, the cast was older, the show was more interactive, high-speed internet access was rare, and the live-feeds were tiny, grainy images of a chicken coop for most of the day.
Since then, the show has evolved into a summer guilty pleasure with eye-candy abound. Though there have been new twists in the game (the Power of Veto), new architecture in the house (the addition of a second story and HoH suite) and new houseguests to compete (hotties like Kaysar from BB6 and BB7), the show remains the most real of reality tv.
Unlike most reality shows, which are completely at the mercy of their editors, Big Brother offers something different: a live internet feed from inside the house. This allows viewers to watch all the plotting, strategizing, and back-stabbing that takes place during an average day in the house as it’s happening. These live feeds are what make the show so much better than other “reality” programs like Survivor or The Real World.
Big Brother also has one of the most dedicated fan communities on the web. BB fans are up at all house, watching the feeds, taking screen caps, summarizing any updates, and discussing their favorite alliances. While it may not exactly be Monday Night Football, fans of this show are more into it than any die-hard arm-chair-quarterback.
I’ve been a fan of Big Brother since the first season and I only missed one episode due to a huge storm that passed through my neighborhood and knocked out the power.
Last year, I started a blog for Big Brother All-Stars, my dream season, featuring some of my favorite players from seasons past. That blog became pretty popular, and I’ve decided to go for it again this year with Big Brother 8.
This blog will feature updates, commentary, links and even a few screencaps or YouTube videos from this season and maybe even from past seasons too.
Keep checking back here to see what’s cookin’ in the BB house!
