Libra evicted, Renny wins HoH

So, I live in Denver and I have been frantically planning for the DNC at my real job. Naturally, this makes keeping up the BB blog very hard. I am finally getting around to watching the eviction episode now and ready to give some brief comments.

Jerry’s veto speech was really ridiculous. He’s a old man, he doesn’t know what he’s doing or how this game works. He should just leave voluntarily because evicting him is a waste of an HoH week. Thankfully, his “Judas speech” made everyone love Dan even more (including me) and he looks pretty safe.

Libra or Keesha – who gives a shit?! Both of them are super annoying and catty little bitches. In fact, the only woman I like in this house is Renny.

I LOVED when April claimed she wanted to get Keesha out because “I’m prettier than her!” April is so cocky now that it’s actually pretty amazing. She honestly thinks she’s the sexiest, smartest, most desirable woman on television. Of course, that couldn’t be farther from the truth.

I’m digging the “Renegade” alliance of Dan and Memphis. So far, they’ve been pretty powerful behind-the-scenes players in the game, so they could end up going to the end… that is, as long as no one catches on to their partnership.

April keeps saying they should put up Dan, which is another reason I hate her. I might launch an April moratorium on this site where I don’t write anything about her. She’s boring and spends all her time getting it from behind from Ollie. Her freaky wolf eyes are creeping me out and all she ever talks about is her jugs. Think about it, how many times has she mentioned that her boobs were real and asked people to squeeze them?! It’s just getting rick-dees-ulous.

Back from the commercial break and we get a whole segment about Libra’s family. Aw, let’s wipe a tear for a loudmouth chick who ditched her family to be on tv. I’m not saying it’s a morally bad thing. Her appearance on she show could lead to a lot of financial gain for her family in the future and hey, her kids are cute. I’m just saying that she put herself in this situation. It’s not like she got shipped off to Iraq, she’s just on a game show! On a side note, I liked when Libra’s husband made the crack about Michelle’s tantrum when she lost the trip to Hawaii.

During the couch interview with Julie, she asked Dan about his religion… but I wasn’t really paying attention because I was busy thinking about how much I have a crush on him. Then when he made the joke that he was upset when Jerry called him Judas because “I am a teacher and he didn’t address me as Mr. Judas” it was so straight-up Will Kirby that I almost swooned. I also loved when Memphis tried to make a joke like Dan did, but it ended up turning into verbal diarrhea and making no sense.

On to the eviction… Julie yelled at Ollie on one of the Craig Ferguson segments about calling her mama, so this time he addressed her as Ms. Julie. I didn’t really care who went home, but it was nice to see that Libra was booted.

Hooray for Renny! I can’t wait to see what she does.

Totally non-BB – They played a commercial for Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 during one of the breaks and my mom said “Ugh, I don’t care about these girls or their pants!”

  1. Great summary of tonight’s show. After Jerry’s veto speech, I am glad someone (Memphis) brought up about how personal he is taking this game. I like it when people act with their emotions from time to time but right now, there is no separation between real life and game play for Jerry. Who you are in the house is who you are in real life. That is trite in my opinion.

Ditto on April. I knew she had a type-A personality but I didn’t know she had an ego like that. Not very attractive. By the way, do you get the impression that Ollie is a mimbo. I don’t want to hate on the brother but what was that during the HoH ceremony? We know he is a weak player but that was ridiculous. How do you buzz in before Julie says three words? Come on dude.

I will disagree with you on one thing even though you probably know more about the situation then I do because you have the feeds…I think. I don’t know how mean Libra is but on the show she seemed pretty mean. It could be that CBS set her up to be the villain and only highlighted video of her where it would seem that way. In all likelihood, Libra was going to be evicted so before she was they needed to be fair and show a softer side of her. Unfortunately, they did not do that. It sounded more like excuses for her behavior than profiling what a sweet and loving mother she is. I don’t know what the woman is like in real life but I like to think there is good in all people.

Libra’s eviction speech and conversation with Julie was classy on her part. She said it was a game and I really do believe she left all feelings, good or bad, of each player inside the house. She hugged everyone including her enemies and did not slam anyone during her conversation with Julie. Steven was funny during his exit but not very classy.

Before the HoH competition, I was thinking about what you said how the show has gotten stale and why I was thinking about that was because the HoH does not mean as much as it used to in past seasons. Now all the HoH does is target one person instead of teams. For instance, I will make a prediction. Renny sees what April is and considers her a huge threat. She is going to nominate April and Ollie. Ollie is weak but the only reason Renny will nominate Ollie is to have one fewer person who will vote for April. While Michelle said she nominated Keesha and Libra because they evicted the only man that may ever love her she probably would have nominated them both anyway for the same reason why Renny will nominate April and Ollie. Its been like this for most of the game now. It makes game sense I guess but it also makes it more predictable and makes the game seem like its moving at a slower pace. I am happy for Renny though.

I wanted to say this after the veto show. I think the next season of big brother will have all women. If there are any guys they will either be gay or metrosexuals. The fights that have been going on the past few weeks involved all the women in the house and the men avoiding it, except Ollie getting involved but he had to or April would have hurt him. I think thats what CBS has always wanted from this show: raw emotion. No offense Alexis, but women have a serious problem controlling their emotions. Guys will have outbursts and certainly have on the show but they come infrequently. I kind of see men as camels and women as horses. Camels only need water every now and then while horses need water regularly. Men don’t need to voice their feelings regularly but women do. The house being on slop for most of their time in the house certainly isn’t helping either. Anyway, I think that might be what a future season will be assuming the show does not get cancelled. Clearly, the show is back to being a summer only show. I hope the show does not get any worse and risks getting cancelled all together. I wouldn’t put it on this season but two bad seasons in a row does not benefit anyone.

  2. Oh yes, have fun at the DNC. I would assume if you are helping to plan it the powers that be will let you attend it as well. Maybe you could tell us your thoughts about it on your personal blog site.
