Dan is either very smart or very stupid

I’m not quite sure how I feel about Dan’s whole HoH week. His initial deal with Ollie was stupid and the fact that he honored the deal was even worse. I don’t think that he understands that, no matter how much power you claim you gave Ollie in the deal, you’re still the one who makes the nominations. When you’re the person who puts the keys in the box, you’re responsible.

Then, I thought Dan might have redeemed himself when he stirred up all that arguing during the veto ceremony. It was very Dr. Will to try to get everyone to fight with each other and ignore you. However it was still a dumb move because he ended up pissing off Memphis with the nominations, Ollie with the replacement nomination, and everyone else with the “take a gamble” antics during the PoV ceremony.

Now his plan seems to have not worked as he’s pissed off everyone in the house and they’re starting to see that he’s trying to play a strategic game, not a weak floater game as he originally tried to convince them. Unfortunately, his strategy was stupid and could end up costing him down the line. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was gone in the next two weeks. I can only hope that someone gets rid of horrible Keesha first.

  1. I think Dan is a little from column A and little from column B. I agree with you that the initial deal he had with Ollie was a bad deal but Dan did what he always did and rebounded to keep himself in the short term versus the long term. I think he is fine with Memphis for now only because he might Memphis’s only real ally in the house. I don’t know if its the way CBS is cutting it but it seems Keesha and Memphis have drifted apart. Two weeks ago, they seemed to be forming a nice alliance but that hasn’t been played up as of late. Dan probably is safe as long as Ollie or Jerry does not get win HoH on Thursday. Right now I am more pulling for Memphis to win. I know it was bad that Dan made the deal but I still think he should have honored it after he swore on national TV on his girl, work, and something else. I know honor doesn’t get you far in the big brother house but Dan seemed to have played an honorable game up until now. I know house guests think otherwise but those are based more on inferences versus actual words coming out of his mouth.
