Week 4 – The Eviction Show
Hello everyone classes start on Monday for me but the Big Brother game continues on in sunny California. I mentioned in an earlier post that as classes approach I might write fewer posts but don’t fret for I will discuss this week’s veto show as it is pretty important to tonight’s eviction.
The veto show actually was pretty mundane. Michele won the power of veto and did not use it so Ronnie and Lydia remained on the block. The show focused on the athletes clique. For obvious reasons Jesse was not happy about Ronnie being nominated but what suprised me most was he was so unhappy that he is distancing himself farther and farther away from Russell. I thought it was very telling during the HoH competition that Jesse did not mention Russell as one of his key allies so maybe Russell has officially split from the athletes. He isn’t quite an outsider but he now seems to have solid alliances with Jeff and Michele.
On the veto show we also learned that Chima is still a stuck up bitch. She really dogged Russell out because he seemed to be getting closer to Michele. In classic Russell fashion he overreacted and if Michele had used the veto, he probably would have put up Chima. I don’t understand why Chima grew jealous since Michele is a married woman and while seasons of Big Brother featured whores and tramps, I don’t think there has been an issue of a married woman cheating on her husband so Chima should not have been threatened.
I should discuss Michele’s (my new favorite player) decision not to use the veto. While using the veto does spice up the game I won’t question her decision. By not using the veto she really hasn’t taken a stand yet. While most of the house guests say its clear Ronnie will now be evicted, I am not so sure. Michele might not have saved Ronnie during the veto ceremony but maybe she will by voting Lydia out. I want Ronnie gone but Lydia is getting very annoying. She is always feeling sorry for herself and I mean that literally. What makes it worse is that she uses it as strategy in the game as well.
These themes continue on the eviction show. Russell’s paranoia continues to elevate and I think the producers like it. The house guests are cut off from the world for almost three months so shouldn’t paranoia set in? I think the producers didn’t expect it to occur so early in the game but everything with Russell seems to be elevated. He is an MMA fighter so he has to keep his emotions on the surface. The reason for Russell’s paranoia was Michele informed him that Chima wants to backdoor him. Chima denies this but I think both women are right in this instance. Chima did say in week 2 that Russell has to go and should be backdoored but it wasn’t discussed in great detail so it might have been one of those off the cuff remarks. I don’t think Chima lied to Russell when she said she did not say it but rather just forgot. Yeah we are only five weeks into the game but week 2 seems like an eternity away.
I am going into play by play mode here because I want to discuss what should be happening. Chima brought Michele up to have a discussion with her and Russell at the same time. Michele denied ever accusing Chima of betrayal. That was a big mistake on her part. Russell is a paranoid mofo and her lying to him only makes him more paranoid. I am hoping that Michele clears the air with Russell after Chima leaves. Michele said she only denied it because she thought their conversation was private. I just hope the damage hasn’t already been done. Michele doesn’t get a chance to clear the air because something strange happened. Somehow Chima and Russell get into it even though both think Michele is a liar. What I am about to say is not sarcasm but I did not expect someone who is paranoid to clash with someone who is a loud mouth diva. If you didn’t see the replay, you really should. If Chima wasn’t a woman this could have easily come to blows.
Fast foward a bit and we learn Jeff wins the Coup d’Etat. I know I am “Monday morning quarterbacking here” but I did think Jeff might win before the show started. Women love the guy and enough males do to put him over the top. I wanted Michele to win but I am curious what is going on in these feeds? Ronnie said some pretty nasty things to Michele at the eviction ceremony. On tv Michele comes off pretty good. She isn’t perfect but she isn’t “the worst person in the world” as Ronnie would call her. If you guys know, please comment below. I am curious to see if she has done some really negative things and if this might have affected her chance of winning the coup d’etat.
Ronnie was evicted 4-3. Any chance of him winning was blown away after his horrible speech at the eviction ceremony. It was a nasty speech and it just wasn’t good game play either. He came off as petty and fake but his words were so vicious that they will resonate throughout the house for at least a couple of days. I was incorrect. Chima wasn’t the biggest bitch in the house, Ronnie was. Now that Ronnie is gone though, the title returns to Chima.
Ronnie’s interview with Julie Chen was even more interesting. He also indicted Jesse, Chima, and Natalie too. Remember this is the guy who went against his alliance he helped form in week one and now he is condemning them for doing the same thing (and they really didn’t do the same thing). Michele is the only one I feel comfortable with calling a ‘brain’ in this house. Ronnie is definitely a geek but is no nerd!
Chima won the head of household competition. Wow! After the fight she and Russell had this week, its hard not to think he won’t be nominated. I expect Russell and Michele to be nominated this week but I expect Lydia to go home. Why? Russell and Michele will be nominated, Jeff will use his new power and remove both and Lydia and Kevin will be put on the block as replacements. The only way for Lydia to remain safe is to win the PoV.
Till nex time. What? That’s what I meant, I don’t need to say anything else!
