The headline says it all. I have no doubt James will be sent packing this week. Sharon is already trying to make alliances with Ryan and secure her place with “Team Christ” going into the final stretch. It’s going to be moderately interesting to watch the holy rollers turn on each other and lie, back-stab, and manipulate to get to the final two. Note that I only said moderately interesting. As much fun as it might be to see Natalie manipulate the guys all the way to the win, I find her so insufferably annoying that I can’t really bear watching her. The way she repeats herself constantly, the way she uses that high pitch loud whisper when she’s trying to make a point, the way she’s so high on her own power, the way she claims God talks to her (despite all the controversial shit she’s done in her life)…. it all makes me vomit.
If the NeoNerd Herd is going to be the final four in the house, I hope CBS brings us a brand new reality show… “Sequester Island”. In this series, we’d watch funny and entertaining characters who have been kicked off BB hanging out, talking shit about the lame people, hooking up and doing all the activities that made the show tolerable when they were in the house.
Sadly, it looks like season 6 all over again… boring, lame fucktards in the finals and an almost unwatchable final few episodes.
What a surprise, Natalie and Sheila don’t like Adam’s nominations.
Apparently it went down like this: Adam and James had a talk just before the ceremony and James explained that Natalie’s team is trying to use him to do their dirty work, once again. James explained that he never put Adam up, never planned to, and reminded Adam that HE (James) WAS BACKDOORED FIRST! Adam said that he was worried about being the first one voted out when they had to pick each other off and James assured him he and Sheila would be first to go, letting Ryan and Natalie win the game.
According to sources, almost immediately after he talked to James, Adam was called to the DR. Natalie claims the DR told him not to put up James because the conflict makes good tv (it does!) and they wanted to keep that in the house.
That didn’t stop Natalie and Sheila from tearing Adam a new asshole about his nominations.
I just think it’s funny that, each year, someone tries to make this about God. It’s a fucking game show! Don’t you think God has bigger concerns… like, oh, say, war, famine, racism, etc.?
I’m hoping that James wins the veto and saves Sharon with it, that way Ryan or Natalie have to go on the block. I think it would be a lovely “birthday present” to Matty to send him his psychotic stalker in sequester. Imagine Natalie in a place where she knows there are no cameras. Matty will probably be so annoyed he’ll just leave and forfeit his vote in the end.
Here’s Josh giving an award-worthy performance and Adam buying every minute of it.
I’ve been away from the feeds for a little while because, let’s face it, it’s boring as hell these days. Today, I decided to try to watch one more time since there wasn’t a lot to do at work.
When I turned it on, Sharon, Sheila and Natalie were sitting outside tanning and talking shit about everyone in the house. That’s nothing new. The conversations were amusing simply for their blatant hypocrisy.
They were all sitting outside talking about James and Sheila kept insisting that, even if he were to make it to the final two, he would not win the show because everyone hates him. I guess she never watched season 2 or season 8 when Dr. Will and Dick Donato won because both of them were “hated” by the house. In both those cases, they were brought to the final two because they were disliked and made the person they were sitting next to look like a saint in comparison… yet both times, they ended up winning the grand prize.
Game errors aside, Natalie and Sheila were criticizing James for everything from having tattoos to banging Chelsia to being with other guys. They dissed his tattoos, but then Natalie said she wants to get one with the BB logo on the fin of a mermaid surrounded by hearts… cuz that sounds so much better than James’ stupid tattoos. I found it especially hilarious to watch Sheila condemn him for having been a stripper (no mention of the gay porn thing) in the past. Uh, you flashed your vajayjay in Penthouse! How is that any different?! Then Natalie made comments about how James has said he’s had sex with guys in the past and they ripped on him for that. Right. Because that’s so much more “immoral” than having two abortions, which she readily admits all the time. No one in this house has any room to talk, so dissing someone for their morals is astoundingly stupid.
After a few minutes of listening to Natalie and Sheila talk about God and the sins of the other house guests while completely ignoring their own bullshit, I realized why I’m sick of watching the feeds. As the numbers dwindle and Josh (probably) leaves this week, it’s just gonna get more horrible. It might be time to make that call to Real and end this feed torture one and for all this season.
It seems the game has broken down into a two-sided, good-vs-evil dynamic. Each week, one side wins and makes a strike on the other side and then, in the next HOH competition, the power shifts to the other side and we start again. I personally don’t care for this two party system of BB because it means that, at any time, one side could end up losing HOH two weeks in a row and the game is basically over because they lose the numbers.
If we look back to BB6, we see the exact same pattern. The Sovereign 6 and the NerdHerd did battle each week and took out each other’s key players. Then the NerdHerd eventually became the majority in the house and all the cool people ended up getting voted out. This left us with Maggie (most boring HG ever!) and Ivette in the final two while all the good players (and more entertaining characters) like Janelle and Kaysar were gone.
I worry that this season could be the same way since the Neo-NerdHerd (Adam, Ryan, Natalie and Sheila) could easily take over the house for another week, sending the more entertaining HGs packing and leaving us with an extremely boring final few weeks.
Interestingly enough, both this season and the legendary BB6 had twists involving partners. This season it was “soul mates” and in BB6 it was secret partners, people who knew each other outside of the game playing as if they’d never met.
While partner twists make the first few weeks entertaining as the duos form interconnecting alliances, the couple aspect can lead to a dreadfully boring final round. Inevitably, the partnerships lead to forming a two-sided house and we get the tense back-and-forth struggle until eventually, one side takes over and eliminates the other side entirely. The back-and-forth might be exciting, but the final episodes are destined to majorly suck when it gets super obvious who will be sitting in the last two seats.
Maybe I’m just scarred from the horrible NerdHerd winning BB6, but I think the best seasons have been ones where multiple smaller alliances were formed and it seemed to be a free for all in the last few weeks. Think about last years exciting final HOH competition… Evel Dick Donato stood out there holding onto his key, trying to secure that he and his daughter Danielle would be the final two, but ended up losing part I to Zach. Would Zach end up winning the final HOH and possibly the game? Would Dick be able to pull through for his daughter in the next round? The uncertainty made the last couple episodes engaging and exciting. Everything was still up in the air to the bitter end before the Donatos ended up making it all the way to the final two.
I hope that next year we get to see some real solid game play out of people. I’m talking strategic moves, shaking things up, playing selfish instead of going “with the house” on every single nomination or eviction. I for one am so tired of people claiming they’re doing “what’s best for the house” when making any moves in this game. That’s a cop out and anyone who honestly does what’s best for the house needs to remember that there is only one winner in Big Brother. I hate to quote James Rhine from BB6 but “Big Brother is not a team sport.”
I sincerely hope James or Josh wins HOH tonight because, if we’re gonna be stuck in the two party system, I’d like to see the annoying members of the NeoNerdHerd (especially Natalie and Sheila) take a hit this coming week. Then there would be a chance that the final 4 could include wild cards like James or Josh who could turn on each other or on their own alliances to get to the last seats. Tell me a James/Josh/Ryan/Adam final 4 wouldn’t be entertaining! Josh would try to team up with Ryan and James to get Adam, but James and Adam could easily team up and eliminate Josh… the scheming would be totally wild.
I guess we’ll know in a few hours when the live eviction/HOH episode airs.
Perez Hilton posted this today along with a video of Josh.
Giving Gays A Bad Name
How is this loser still on the show?????
Big Brother contestant Josh is such a disgusting human being.
The gay housemate gave his parents more reasons to be proud of him on Sunday when he was gaybashing his own kind and spent a good deal of time talking about his drug use.
Click here to check it out!
Hope he goes into rehab when he is voted off soon.
I understand that Josh is certainly not the best representation of the gay community, but does anyone honestly expect him to be? I mean, is anyone on reality TV the best representation of their particular group? I personally think Josh is funny and amusing in an entertaining-reality-personality kind of way.
Nearly everyone in every season has said tons of incriminating shit about themselves, that’s the nature of being on camera 24/7, but Perez seems to pick on Josh more than anyone else in the house. I love the “gaybashing his own kind” line. So now no one is allowed to say anything bad about a group they belong to? I guess someone better let all stand up comedians who do ethnic jokes know about this new rule that Perez just decreed. And isn’t Perez gaybashing his “own kind” by constantly talking shit about Josh on his site?
Perez is being too harsh! Josh is one of the few people who makes this show entertaining. I don’t know if Perez Hilton is a long-time BB addict, but I certainly am and I know that Josh is definitely not the worst HG in the history of the show.
I know it’s too early to really call the game at this point (that siren could always go off again) but I think James has played a very smart game and managed to balance strategy and relationships.
His strategy is unlike any I remember in the game so far. I think he’s playing the way they expected Kaysar to play after returning to the house in Big Brother 6. Instead, Kaysar made a critical error that proved to cost him the game just seven days after he was voted back into the house by America, winning over 80% of the vote. I would imagine that BB expected Kaysar (clearly America’s favorite player from that season) to return to the house, win the HOH and/or Veto and ensure that someone from the “good” side of the house won the entire show that year. Instead, he let go of the button too early in the endurance HOH comp and two of the most hated people in the history of the show ended up sitting in the final spots.
By contrast, James knew that if he didn’t win HOH this week, he was out for sure and Matt would sail on into the finals and probably win the game. I could not have been happier when Natalie finally gave up and James took the title this week. Then, by winning the veto, he proved that he was a tough competitor and could end up flipping the Matt/Ryan power dynamic on it’s ass. As Dean said in his comment on the last post, “What was more impresive, James got the veto or that he used it? I have to respect James for what he did. He had total control over the week and he is doing what he wants. Not many HoH’s are willing to do that.”
Speaking of strategy, I think James’ plans this year have shown a whole new idea for how to play the game. It’s not the cold calculated strategy of Dr. Will and it’s not the reign of terror of Evel Dick, it’s something that rarely works in this game (and is probably only working now because of twists). James is playing like another James, James Rhine from Big Brother 6 and Big Brother All-Stars. He’s making big strategic moves, showing that he is a silent threat, and (at least before his nomination last week) had been playing both sides of a polarized house while remaining safely in the middle.
If you think back to BB6, you’ll remember how James and his girlfriend Sarah were originally members of the Sovereign 6 alliance, which included All-Star players like Janelle and Kaysar. James was very sneaky and began forming sub-alliances with members of the opposite side of the house, the Nerd Herd, or FriendSHEEP as they were sometimes called by BB fans. In particular, he had very close ties with Ivette, who went on to place second in that season. His two-faced game brought him far, until the 6 realized he was a mole for the other side and nominated him.
Crazy James has been playing a very similar game. His early “operations” only solidified his place with the boys alliance, forming a powerhouse of strong players. Then, on the other side of the house, he had close ties with Josh and Sharon and maintained a partnership with them. And beyond that, he also had Chelsia to think about as their relationship blossomed from “showmance” to actual romance. It seemed that neither side knew exactly who he was with until last week when he pushed for Matt’s eviction and ended up back-doored by his former allies. This split the house and, upon his return, he did exactly what the audience (and producers) wanted and went for revenge, putting Ryan and Matt on the block.
Like I said in the beginning of this very long post, it’s still too early to call the game, but I’m hoping James makes it to the final four (if not the final two) because he proved that he’s not afraid to make some big game moves, to lie to people who betrayed him, and to flip the power structure of the house. Twists and turns that do these things are what makes BB so entertaining. It’s no fun when one group controls the entire house going into the finals (see BB6) because it doesn’t matter who wins at that point. Just like last year’s final HOH, it’s best when the people you like can go head to head with the people you don’t and emerge victorious. To put it plainly, revenge is good tv.
In an amazing strategic move, James used the veto to save Sheila and back-doored Matt, putting him up on the block against his ally, Ryan. Here’s a video of Matt talking to James after the veto:
On tonight’s show, James was evicted 5-1 with only Chelsia voting to keep him in the house. After his exit interview, Julie told him that he might have a chance to return to the game.
America voted and chose Alex as the HG to receive a chance to return to the game. Parker came in second. The key word in that was “chance” to return because the house got the final say when they could vote for the mystery returnee or vote for James to return to the game. One by one, they went into the diary room to cast their votes and, in the end, only Sheila, Ryan, and Matty voted for the “mystery guest”, everyone else voted for James to return. It was rad because Matty didn’t get the chance to talk to Natalie before the vote, so she ended up voting the opposite way as him.
James returned to much celebration from Chelsia. Then everyone headed out into the backyard where there was an elaborate contraption set up for the HOH competition. The HGs has to hang on to chains above these disco balls suspended about 4 feet off the ground. The entire rig would move and rotate to try to get them to fall and whoever held on the longest won the coveted HOH crown.
Before After Dark had even started, Adam, Josh and Matt were out. Next out was Sheila, who apparently fell pretty hard. One by one everyone fell off until only James and Natalie were left standing going into the fourth hour. Matty and Ryan sat around like the tubby douches they are and tried to get inside people’s heads. Ryan was dripping sweat as Matt look at Natalie nervously, knowing she was his only hope and trying to bribe her into staying by being nice to her.
In the last few minutes, Natalie looked really pale and sweaty and said she thought she was going to throw up. James proposed a deal to keep her and Matt safe and she finally let go of the chain, giving him the title. The second she hit the mat, she started majorly puking and, for a moment there, I thought they’d have to bring in paramedics. Everyone rushed to help her and bring her some water and a bucket to throw up in.
In the end James emerged as HOH and Josh has already started nervously perparing to go on the block with Ryan… I’m not quite sure why since Josh doesn’t seem like James’ target.
We have another angle of the pickle juice incident. Here’s James throwing pickle juice in Natalie’s face. I had previously reported it was water, but I think it’s actually the juice from the pickle jar. This footage also includes Josh and Chelsia mocking her for being stupid and having two abortions. Oh yeah, it got ugly.
