I really hope they won’t be coming back. I don’t think America liked them enough to warrant a Kaysar-like resurrection in the game. Amanda’s voice was hella annoying and Alex and Matt together were too much of a testosterone fest. I hope that the twist is that the couples get mixed up, for example Natalie and James get paired together, Matt and Chelsia get paired together, etc…. and I hope that, whatever the twist may be, Allison gets evicted this week.

As with all the other seasons, the number of likable people in the house is declining by the day. So far, James and Natalie are my two favorites. I think Chelsia’s cool, but I think she’s kind of a snake too. She’ll probably try to double cross James in the end, which is definitely not cool! Matt’s entertaining, but I hate how much he calls Natalie stupid or acts mean to her. She’s by far the nicest person in the house and I hate to see anyone say mean stuff about her, especially her own partner. Josh and Sharon are funny, but I can see where Josh’s “Evel Dick” impression is going to get old  quickly. As far as Sheila and Adam, she’s bat shit crazy and he’s a non-issue strategy wise. Surprisingly, I like Adam and I think he got a raw deal being put with that banshee!

This would be a very good time to break up the couples, or reassign them. We’ve seen with Alex and Amanda that it’s not super fair to be tied to a partner that everyone hates. Breaking up the couples now could lead to a lot of good strategy and plotting. Would former couples still be loyal to each other? Would being free of the “soulmate” stipulation lead to lots more hook ups? We could find out with a quick change of the rules.

Either way, I’d like to see James or Natalie win the game.

There aren’t many cool people in the house, but Natalie seems like a pretty nice one. She’s always got a good attitude, she’s friends with everyone, and she’s also a great artist. Many of you have probably seen her portraits of some of the other HGs, but here’s a video of her painting Josh out of nail polish, followed by a few pictures from her MySpace.

The attention whoring never ends!!!

Just as Allison and Amanda returned from the hospital and Natalie went to bed feeling sick, Sheila had to make every possible effort to make it about her.

Allison and Amanda retreated to one of the bedrooms to talk about their illnesses and Sheila trapped them in the room and literally would not shut up for over an hour. She went on and on about how much she hates Adam and how he’s abusive to her and he’s tortured her.

Of course, no one’s heard any of this alleged torture and abuse, but that didn’t stop her from completely blowing up about it for an hour.

Allison and Amanda tried to calm her down, but she started completely spiraling out of control and getting super worked up about how much she hated Adam. She started crying at one point claiming that Adam was keeping her up and begging BB to give her a Tylenol PM or some kind of sleeping pill because she couldn’t leave.

Allison and Amanda told her that she totally could leave and that if it was so miserable, she should give her DOR and leave the game. I was crossing my fingers that she would take their advice, but unfortunately she decided not to leave and instead to stay and complain for an additional half hour or so.

Ok, so unfortunately my job is preventing me from being an obsessive feed watcher at the moment. It’s always slower in the summer around the office, so I have so much more time during regular seasons.

Anyway, it seems that there has been quite a lot of drama going on inside and outside the house.

First, Neil is gone. Apparently he was called into the diary room and never came back. It seems that he had a family emergency. Morty’s TV reported that he had the option to leave or stay and he chose to leave. Frankly, I think that’s the best decision. Family stuff should always come before competing in a reality show.

Joshua was devastated because he was really falling for Neil, they had even shared a kiss. Joshua cried for a while and the other HGs tried to comfort him.

Then BB gave Joshua the option of picking an evicted person to be his partner. This is pretty lame because it really puts him at a disadvantage in the game, which sucks because I like him. Anyway, he chose Sharon because everyone thought she got a raw deal from being partnered up with her ex, who also happened to be a moron.

I agree completely with the moron bit. On last night’s episode, Jacob tried to create all this controversy by telling Jen that Parker was a snake. He did this when Jen and Parker were still the power couple, and while they still had the opportunity to evict him. Naturally, the did.

Then today we had a BB Valentine’s Day surprise when Ryan and Jen decided to get it on in the bathroom. Parker was outside and tried to get in the bathroom when he realized what was going on in there. It seems that the entire encounter didn’t last very long and everyone has been making fun or Ryan calling him the “one minute man.”

I guess the producers and the casting directors did a good job this season because we’ve already got sex, but that doesn’t stop this from being really boring this time around. I kind of like ti more when people play as individuals because there’s so much more actual game play. Having a partner can be a liability, but it can also be a huge safety net that prevents people from making any crazy moves or trying to “throw each other under the bus” to use a common BB term.

Anyway, now Sharon is partnered up with Joshua. Alex and Amanda are still HOH and Jen and Parker, Allison and Ryan are nominated.

Variety reported that CBS could bring back everyone’s favorite summer guilty pleasure a little earlier than expected.It seems that with the writers’ strike, CBS is going to be turning to its reality shows to generate some new programming. BB could return as soon as February and could even be a special Celebrity Big Brother season since there are so many actors (*cough* D-Listers *cough*) out of work due to the strike.Variety noted:

There’s been buzz that the next edition of “Big Brother” might actually use celebrities, as opposed to ordinary people. A long strike might work in favor of such a plan, since some celebs normally busy working on sitcoms and dramas might have some time on their hands.While it sucks that great shows like ‘30 Rock’ are affected by the strike, I can’t say it wouldn’t be awesome to get a celeb season of my favorite reality show of all time.

This year, Trashwire’s Big Brother 8 coverage was the most popular section of the site for the three months the show aired.
