Donkey KongLegendary old-school gamer Steve Wiebe, star of documentary King of Kong, will attempt to reclaim his Donkey Kong throne at the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo. G4 viewers can watch the barrel-jumping action live with our exclusive access to the special event on Tuesday, June 2 as part the network’s week-long E3 coverage.

Wiebe was the first person to record a DK score of over a million points, but he ultimately lost his best-ever status to his nemesis, Billy Mitchell, as documented in The King Of Kong: A First Full Of Quarters. Now Wiebe aims to reclaim the throne.

My fellow nerds and I wish Wiebe well and hope that he can defeat Mitchell in this epic battle.
