No Cage, no problem for The Green Hornet
Tweet I must start this review off by saying I did not get to see the end of The Green Hornet. The power went out with about 15 minutes or so to go in the film (I’m just guessing on how much time was remaining), so this will be a review of all but the end of the film. When I first heard about this film and heard Seth Rogen was co-writing and starring in it, I was interested. Then I found out Michel Gondry was directing it. I found this to be an odd film choice for him, but I was excited about the idea. Finally, my excitement peaked when I heard Nicolas Cage would be playing the villain. Rogen, Gondry, and Cage and I was definitely on board. I was so … Read entire article »

Proof that I rule – My interview with Blazer’s Edge
Tweet I recently did an interview with Ben from Blazer’s Edge, which he published on the site today. He titled the post “Alexis Gentry Rules” which means I can now say that my rad-ness is well documented and scientifically proven. Here’s a quick snippet of his intro… Alexis is Alvin’s computer-savvy, writing-whiz, self-described “fan of pop culture” and “geek-speaking” daughter. She is the founder of a website TrashWire.com and is, perhaps, the only person alive who could convince an NBA Lifer like Alvin Gentry to plug into the latest social networking craze. On her blog and in article-style posts, she has detailed some of the times she’s spend behind the scenes with her father and the Suns team. It’s well-worth your time. Basketball Diaries from Planet Orange
Tweet Occasionally, it dawns on me that a lot of people I know aren’t on Twitter and haven’t seen my frequent (and some might say incessant) updates from the last week. As a result, I’m writing this blog as a continuation of my first “Basketball Diaries” post–which has nothing to do with Jim Carroll,Leonardo DiCaprio, or heroin–to detail the action, intrigue and adventure during my most recent trip out to the desert to spend some time with the Phoenix Suns…. New review on Trashwire – The bottomless pit of Celebreality
Tweet New article on Trashwire! Alexis’ review of Rock of Love Bus… Whenever I think reality tv has hit rock bottom, something new comes on that takes it to an all new low. The latest contender is Rock of Love Bus on VH1. The show follows Bret Michaels (who used to be known for being the lead singer of Poison but is now a puffy, middle aged reality star) and the gaggle of skanks vying for his affection, or at least a little tv time. Instead of the usual tacky mansion, this time the whole gang will be living out of buses as they follow Michaels around the country during his tour. Read more at Trashwire.com … Read entire article »
