Well as a college student I don’t have that much time to finish most anime shows that have started watching. I still haven’t finished Death Note dammit. Due to youtube’s popularity and the ever increasing popular Dailymotion, more and more episodes are being pulled off due to contract violations.
I completely think that it is not fair that the content is seen for free in Japan but not in America. It’s like you have to buy DVD’s sometimes, or download the content which is illegal. Streaming is the safest, legal way to watch your anime because you are not keeping the content, and it’s as if you were to watch it on TV. If streaming was regulated then maybe all of these major media companies would just stop pulling content off. Money hungry executives just look for the sale in DVD’s for TV shows, but if they gain money with ratings then why not do what they did with Heroes and other shows on streaming video. This action should be taken with anime companies so everyone can be happy and enjoy their programming. So the Website is called crunchyroll, and I know tons of us know about this website already but still for those of you who don’t you will find almost every anime past and present available for streaming video.
Here is what they are all about from their Wiki page:
“WikiRoll is a sub-project created by and affiliated to our main asian video streaming site: CrunchyRoll. Our main site has been growing progressively since it started just about a year ago, thanks to all of you members. We are pleased to unveil this brand new feature under CR, the WikiRoll!
It is still like a baby, in the developing phase, so some articles may be missing. This is where your help comes in! With the popular wiki feature, Crunchyroll members are welcome and encouraged to help edit and provide information to some of the articles, be it the Anime series, Dramas / Movies, Music or Game videos, WikiRoll aims to be an efficient and informative source to complement Crunchyroll nicely, to give our members a well-rounded approach as to appreciating the culture of foreign countries and films.”
So go relieve some summer time boredom and take you pick of hundreds of shows available to the click of a button.
