What makes a good true crime docuseries?

Netflix has some of the best true crime on TV, from Making a Murderer to Tiger King, from The Staircase to Evil Genius and beyond. In this Whatcha Watchin’ video, we take a look at what makes a good true crime series and some of the ways we can trace the origin on the true crime streaming boom back to 1988’s The Thin Blue Line, a documentary that basically redefined how we tell these stories.
