Kingsley Ben-Adir Becomes Bob Marley in One Love

It’s so hard to make a biopic for a legendary musician after Walk Hard because that movie highlighted all the familiar story tropes for comedic purposes. We see our hero overcome adversity, struggle to balance his relationship with his career and overcome the odds.

Bob Marley: One Love also features a lot of those familiar story beats, which can sometimes make the story feel a bit paint-by-numbers, but it features lead performances that elevate the material.

Kingsley Ben-Adir absolutely embodies Marley, nailing the voice and the overall vibe. Lashana Lynch also delivers yet another fantastic performance here, making scenes between Bob and his wife Rita feel captivating.
